Product Description

The Scorpia model is the baseline railgun from RA. Limited to 5 size options and with out a few of the extra frills for ecenomical reasons, it is one of the most popular first speargun choices for new spearos. It's worth pointing out that the same mech, handle, barrel and spear are used for this Scorpia model as with the more expensive and more featured  models from Rob Allen.

A single 16mm powerband is the ideal choice for those starting out - looking to keep things simple, quick, easy and trouble free. For the users wishing for a second band, it can be added at any time. Loading this gun is quick and easy. As a result of only having one band. the gun’s recoil  is quite small which assists in improving your accuracy. The new generation of trigger mechanism gives you great performance from the 1st shot through to 20,000 shots with minimal to no change. A consistent, crisp trigger reduces recoil and trigger tension improving your shot accuracy.

Rob Allen has used a low-profile closed muzzle on this model for a few reasons. Firstly, it allows for fast tracking because of reduced friction. In addition the line of sight is clear for accurate aiming. The closed muzzle design with a compact but sturdy bridge allows for faster and simpler reloading without the bulk of bigger muzzles. You can easily remove both power-bands without using tools If you do this, ensure they’re kept in a dry, cool place so they don’t degrade.

The shaft used is made from 2100MPA spring steel in combination with Rob Allen’s unique straightening process. This ensures that you’re using the sturdiest and straightest spear available. Each shaft is hand tested by Rob Allen to make sure it’s straight as possible. Now when you’re presented with a special once in a lifetime fish, you’ll have the confidence to nail it every time.

Local Spear Conditions - Tuesday 24th Feb 2015

Finally, after weeks and weeks of swell, bad vis and wind, there looks to finally be a reprieve. Swell is dropping all the way through till Saturday, coupled with South winds to push in the clear water for most of the remainder of the week, this looks weekend looks like it could be good for diving finally. The swell is forecast at 0.8 metres for Saturday with very very light winds. Sunday however is a tad bigger at 1.0 metre but with medium strength Southerly winds. Try jumping in at a protected spot if the wind bothers you, such as The Bower (back of Shelley Beach away from the Marine Park), Dee Why, Warriewood, South Whale Beach and South Palm Beach. We are hoping that this forecast will stay true and everyone finally gets in and re-stocks the freezers! Fingers crossed! Forecast courtesy of www.seabreeze.com.au
